This is a screenshot of the final pdf version of the project.
While brainstorming I had two ideas; the first was a solution for bulk storage of light bulbs using a type of foam drawer type system that could be built into furniture. The second and the one I ultimately decided to work on was a solution for the ever frustrating problem of trying to figure out if there is power going to a switch if the bulb has gone bad.
To get the right look I took pictures of a light bulb in different lighting.
This was shot with a flashlight shining on it to brighten the bulb and the background.
This one was taken with the same flashlight that has a red light setting; I put it again the bulb to create the illusion of it being dimly lit. I then combined all three images using masks and altering the opacity until the image was just right.
I then brought the image into illustrator to add the text and do the final finishing.
