Often I use music to motivate my artistic practice, and every now and then it gets to the point where I literally make a tribute to a song or artist. That's what most of these pieces are.
There are other works here that when I was making it, I had no intention of relating it to any musical influence. I would just realize that after I finished making it, the piece reminds me of a certain artist and it becomes one of those things that once you see it you can't un-see it.
These are my favourite ones so far, then once I get more time on my hands I'll get working on a few other dedications I'm hoping to finish:
- Adele
- Childish Gambino
- Passion Pit
- John Legend
- Sam Cooke
