TSURU means paper crane in Japanese. My degree collection is inspired by the origami ornament but at the same time it evokes the elegance of the red crowned crane and the skeletal system of a crane.
TSURU does not belong to any seasons or trends. It is a creative collection showing my way to get to the wearable clothes from the raw inspiration.
The cuts and fabrics help to understand the process. I used the folding lines of the paper crane for the object dresses then transformed them into patterns. With using abstraction I got to the flat cuts of the bamboo jerzey pieces and the one-piece folding skirt and dress.
