A Centennial Museum for a Religious Congregation

A CENTENARY MUSEUM
Collaborative work with Bambi Manosa, Chinggay Liborro,
Maritz Cruz and Leo Almeria for Manosa and Company Inc.
The museum is for a congregation's centennial anniversary of its presence in the Philippines and abroad.
The project calls for an architecture that is distinctly Filipino, world-class and iconic.
Finishes were meticulously selected locally, minimizing cost and carbon footprint.
The lobby and its atrium is a synthesis drawn from the emblem of the congregation. Using the notable elements of the logo, such as the rays and a flaming torch, the sunburst stone floor pattern provides a visual cue to the center of the space.  A stone piece engraved with the emblem is a part of the centerpiece of the lobby. The radial brass strips symbolize the legacy of the congregation's evangelization that lasts through generations.

Local artists were also involved in creating bespoke accent pieces, such as the chandelier.
Thus, supporting the local products and industry.
