Description: For this project, I had to create a family crest. Before starting, I discussed this project with my family  to see what makes us up as a family. I then went to the drawing board and wrote the main things I wanted to incorporate into my design. 

Design Choices: Our family name is Gutierrez, and that is the one that is on the banner. However, my mom has been the one who has done the most to raise us, and her family name is Ruiz. That is why the 'R' is imprinted onto the actual shield because it is her family. The shield is then split up into 4 parts, one part for every one of her children. The part with the mouse is for my older brother since he is studying computer science in College. The next is for me, and it is a clapboard because I want to be a director when I grow up. After me, is my little brother, and it is a soccer ball because he likes to play sports. My little sister loves to draw which is why her part is a paintbrush. Lastly, there is the Mexican eagle eating a snake in the background and there are the Mexican locals to represent that our family comes from Mexico.
