Pixel railing
To restyle the grid-like staircase railing I made a very simple but nice looking design. I wanted to create a warmer feeling with the steel stairs, railing and lobby because it looked so cold.
With solid wood I made a 'pattern' out of little blocks. Each block is 64x64x25mm and fits exact into the steel railing. To create a playful look I used 5 types of wood from light to dark: Teak - beech - high gloss red painted wood - cherrywood and walnut.
