For my architecture class we were set the task to build a temporary sustainable living space for a family of 4.
Level 1
Ideas:
- Shipping container style living
- Eco house
- Portable house eg. trailer
- Loft style home
Problems
- The size of the home really caused trouble for me, I had trouble fitting things all into the small space. My solution was to create another storey, giving the house a nice and open living area.
Themes of the house
- My initial theme of the house was to keep everything low budget and simple, why I chose to do that was because the home was only going to be temporary, so most of it will go unused once the permanent home is built. I stuck to keeping it simple by having wood floors and white walls.

The original floor plan was to have a nicely spread out home
The location of the temporary home will be built on the bottom left hand corner. The terrain of the lot is fairly flat with a few inclines.
This ended up being the final render for my design, a two storey living facility which included 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
