This project was based on ISTD’s 2017 brief: The Dead Wood Archive. Using a publication within the UTS library, The Universe in Zero Words: the Creative Edition (call no. 512.94 MACK) celebrates Dana Mackenzie’s 'The Universe in Zero Words', by reinterpreting mathematic textbook information into a creative publication in order to reconnect with a creative audience.
This book aims to be relatable for the designer, combining original content of the book with personal scribbles and sketches to draw out humour and wit.
