Maze - Stop The Traffik

Maze
Stop The Traffik - Netherlands
The brief asked us to come up with a solution that spreads awareness of sex trafficking and encourage them to sign a petition that aims to increase the minimum age limit of joining red light district from 16 to 21. This was a group project involving two other classmates.
Interactive installation usually attracts people and makes them curious to know what it is. Spreading awareness can
be done in a number of ways but experiencing the issue creates a stronger impact. The idea is of a maze where people would try to find their way out. The aim is to let people explore the world of sex trafficking and to understand the
reality of human trafficking.
An installation of a maze that has dark dead ends and objects placed in corners that are related to sex trafficking. The maze has a range of shades, lightest being in the safe zone and darkest being in a dangerous area. The end of the maze is used as a public platform that has posters with words that one would feel in a sex trafficking zone. The aim of it is to encourage people to raise a voice and sign the petition.
