Flight of the pelicans: "Taking a break"

Flight of the Pelicans
I posted a early WIP model of the seaplane in the original Flight of the pelicans page, and here it is set in a scenario, rendered in Blender and then painted up in Photoshop. It was mostly a workflow test, but the image turned out quite nicely.

Below are some screenshots of the model from Fusion 360. The great thing with modelling in CAD is of course, you don't have to worry too much about having good topology, and the mesh resolution will always be the highest it can get!
Fusion360 is also a parametric modeller, meaning it has a long history where you can go back in time, change a early sketch, and it will be applied to everything else that was made after in the history. VERY handy if you suddenly need to change proportions. So since its CAD and SOLIDS, its great for 3d printing or actually constructing it in real life. Not so good if you plan on using it in a game, or maybe want to prepare it for a 3d animation with texturing etc, you most likely always have to retopologize it.
