WORLD REFUGEE DAY
20th of June is World Refugee Day. This was created by the United Nations to raise awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world. The City Council of Barcelona organises the observation day every year with the help of multiple NGOs. However, despite the current situation in Syria and high media coverage regarding the crisis, a desired interest and participation in the event was not reached.
This project was undertaken to design an advertising campaign with the aim of making more people aware of World Refugee Day, inviting the public to participate. The key factors of the campaign are civic engagement and collective awareness.
