King Tut is a stool inspired by the beautiful throne of Tutankhamun. Laminated plywood was used for the top surface, to achieve the same shape as the ancient Egyptian artefact and bent steel for the legs. It comments on the use of furniture as a symbol for power throughout history, bringing it into a modern context, empowering its user with the luxury of being seated.
