Future Project Expedition: Iceland

Future Project Expedition is an initiative that encourages participants to take a worm’s eye view and push the limits of their impact through extreme physical, intellectual, and creative challenges.

During June 2012, a team of cyclists and filmmakers participated in Future Project Expedition: Iceland. We rode mountain bikes from Höfn to Reykjavik, covering 300+ miles (480+ km) of Iceland's southern coast. Team FPX was inspired to unite design and humanity in order to identify and advance Icelandic enterprise. The project conceived from the ride is called Share Cycle, which will launch in the coming weeks.

From original conception to post-ride duties, I'm managing all aspects of the project under Future. During the spring of 2012, I worked with Kate Hunt to coordinate the 300+ mile bike tour. Taking lessons learned from the Alabamboo Make & Ride, I designed and implemented a dynamic website to allow our fans/follows to keep up with the project. Read below to find out what came from our
bike tour.
