This is a Photobook Project that is called “Dance Floor” which is a combination of 16 family photographs of my grandparents in which they have the same dance patterns. The flip-book-like structure of Dance Floor aims an interaction through the various amounts of combinations offered to the participant.

You are invited to discover a different festival through new forms of storytelling and fresh perspectives you will witness in the the field of PHOTOBOOK which is the independent mode of circulation for contemporary photography.”

ISTANBUL PHOTOBOOK FESTIVAL, which will be held for the second time in Turkey, will be attended by international photobook designers, photobook editors, self-publishing photographers and publishing houses. Within the program, there will be international photobook exhibitions along with seminars, artist talks and photobook reviews conducted by festival invitees. In addition, with the support of MAS and AKINA, FUAM DUMMY BOOK AWARD will be given for the second time in Turkey with the aim of strengthening the photobook environment in Turkey.

By providing visibility for young artists from Turkey, who produce in contemporary photography field, ISTANBUL PHOTOBOOK FESTIVAL aims to bring together photobook publishers, independent organizations, initiatives and self-publishers; and present approximately 70 photobooks produced by FUAM to local and international photo-audiences.
