Beit al Kaseed Opening
Beit al Kaseed , is an Arab pun that basically means the meaning of something either said or done and the word Beit itself is used to describe a single line in classic Arab poetry as well as it meaning literally "House" and thus the name had many meanings and although changed many times and the whole concept at the final stages was completely blown away and recreated from scratch in a whole new direction the final product is something I"m happy with .
The whole show is hosted in an old restaurant and the producers briefed us on what the presenter has in my mind , what the show was all about and what the presenter was all about so we ended up building a concept where Ink takes us to a Violin and the strings of the violin break away and fly around a coffee pot (Dala) and falls into a cup creating the coffee thus symbolizing the three different sides of the show , being a talk show , the coffee represented sitting down and chatting , the ink represents poetry and literature and the violin represents the music ...
This was done in about a month but was done with more freedom than some of the later work and was blown away completely and redone at the final stages ..
