The following is a glimpse at the range of projects I worked on as a part of the wonderful ROBRADY Design team. Images and text drawn from ROBRADY.com

Lockheed Martin

A naval shipbuilder may be required to wield a grinding or cutting tool that weighs more than 30 pounds—and that’s just gravity. Factor in the torque generated from operating that machinery and the Metabolic Burn Rate—the key factor in fatigue—becomes so high, that workers can only perform their tasks for minutes at a time. That is, until they “suit up” in FORTIS, which dramatically enhances endurance and strength.
The human-powered FORTIS system reduces MBR by literally taking the weight of shipbuilders’ tools off their shoulders and transferring it to the ground. Muscle fatigue reduced up to 300 percent. Strength increased so that workers can lift and operate machinery up to 36 pounds with no more effort than it takes to raise their arms.

I aided in design & market research, product design & fabrication, and production sourcing & assembly.
Merlin Power Systems

Marking the dawn of a new era in humanitarian relief capabilities, the ruggedized and portable Solar Tracker System produces readily available energy whenever and wherever the sun is shining. The Solar Tracker can be transported and deployed by two people. Once on-site, the unit can go from case to operational in under 15 minutes. Requiring no tools for setup, the unit deploys as easily as a camera tripod. Once operational, the unit monitors the relative movement of the sun, automatically adjusting itself to maintain optimum positioning. In doing so, the Solar Tracker generates up to 40% more energy than stationary photovoltaics.

I aided in design & market research, prototype fabrication, & design workshops
Envirofit Cook Stoves

With proven increases in efficiency and reduction of emissions, the Envirofit Institutional Cookstove is an economical and safe cooking alternative for orphanages, schools and community centers.

I aided in market & product research, social innovation, and concept development
Transportation
Vectrix

In collaboration with the award winning electric vehicle manufacturer Vectrix, the ROBRADY team has designed and developed a new offering that is a striking combination of both beauty and purpose in two-wheel electric transportation. The “VT-1” comes complete with a clean new ROBRADY aesthetic, interchangeable lithium batteries for fast swaps or remote charging, plug and play custom storage options, animated LCD instrumentation and a fleet variant that includes a removable rear end for extreme storage.

I aided in prototype development, fabrication, and marketing.
