Little Life Lessons - Video Editing
In order to showcase my experience with video editing and Final Cut Pro, I have created a short tutorial for a fictional Youtube channel named 'Little Life Lesson'.

Within this video, I have recorded a vocal track using an Rode NT1-A and Pro Tools 10, explaining how to upload, maintain and delete a Youtube video. The video was edited using Final Cut Pro.

The overall look, feel and colour scheme is designed to appear as inviting to unexperienced users, without seeming patronizing,

The most challenging aspect of this project was the section titles found at the side of each screen.
To be frank, Final Cut Pro is not the most user friendly of video editing softwares.
Simply creating both these titles and the subtitles found at the bottom of the screen took as much time as capturing both the vocal track and the on-screen footage. I hope to acquire Adobe Premier soon as I have heard that is much easier to use.

In terms of the vocal track, I have attempted to give my most understandable performance.
I don't think that I have a thick Scottish accent, making my performances more open to interpretation. Despite this, I have found some difficulty in pronouncing some 'T's in my speech.
In order to remedy this, I re-recorded a number of lines to make the instructions clearer. There are still some sections where I have some 'lazy' approaches to the language. This will be worked on in further videos.

To be completely honest, I planned on adding zoom-in's and more intricate features commonly found in professional tutorial videos. However, not only did these prove to be difficult to execute in Final Cut Pro, but the results seemed highly unsatisfactory, lowering the standard of the video. As previously stated, i plan on acquiring Adobe Premier, which I have gathered is much more industry standard.
