Since 1991, Jay Zises has served as chairman of investment management firm A Cap, Inc., located in New York, New York. Outside of work, Jay Zises supports charitable organizations, including Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).
Established in 1981 by Holocaust survivors, FIDF provides educational, recreational, and social assistance to those who served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), as well as families of fallen IDF soldiers. The nonprofit organization is headquartered in New York City, with 15 regional offices scattered throughout the United States and Panama.
To connect with its supporters, FIDF will host its National NY Gala Dinner on October 23, 2017, at the New York Hilton Midtown. The theme of the 2017 gala is A Night of Heroes, and attendees at the 15th annual event will enjoy a reception followed by dinner and the program. More than 1,200 business and philanthropic leaders typically attend the event, which welcomes special guest speakers, such as Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who addressed attendees via satellite at the 2015 gala.
