One of the 100 book covers to fight illiteracy

The Bottle Factory Outing
A poster of a book by Beryl Bainbridge from 1974.
100 artists. 28 countries. 100 classic book covers turned into posters to support the fight against illiteracy.

– This book caught my interest because I do a lot of wine labels as a graphic designer. The poster is a typographic visualization of the two main characters in the book. Despite sharing apartment, workplace at the Italian wine-bottling factory and the dream of a better life – Freda and Brenda couldn’t be more different from each other. The drop symbolize both the wine, which is central in the book, and the tragic outcome.
