“COAST ”出发点起源于《黄渤海海藻》，发现藻类的功能与环境相对应，便想尝试关于藻类的概念性包装设计，小比例绘制南岛海洋平面图。两条海岸线三个海区五类海岛，环境温度各不相同，分别产红、绿、褐藻等有机藻类。不同深度的海湾海峡分布的藻类不同，我们提取了以红藻、绿藻、褐藻为主的海藻进行针对性研究，发现在浅水区，大约平均-150米产绿藻，在中水区的海湾平均-350产红藻，在深水区平均-550米地区产褐藻，功能均不相同，例如褐藻美白淡皱纹，红藻消炎，绿藻美白。 分别在五个海岛对应放置包装盒，绘制插画，在辨识度上尽力做到绝对阈值。平面地图与包装布功能性分用，实用性二合一。以此概念，于是仿真绘制了80X80的平面藻类等深线地图，用热转印加工打印出布质，地图共用5个海湾，均为真实地点，分别是PARTAS海湾、WALES海湾、BOMBAY海湾、MINDORO海湾、PANAY海湾，其中地图被两条海岸线分为三个地区，分别是浅水区、中水区、深水区。 由地图可见，在浅水区里有产绿藻的PARTAS海湾和WALES海湾，中水区有产红藻的BOMBAY海湾，深水区有产褐藻的PANAY海湾和MINDORO海湾。上面分别会放置对应的海藻包装表示地标。地图的作用是展开来是一张可视地图，扎起来可以包装木盒。既是功能性指示，又是美观的作用。其中主视觉为地图，中间穿插三种藻类的插画用作点缀。整体用白色与蓝色的搭配，材质分别是350G典雅环保纸，280G环保纸打印，280G冰白。百分之九十五来自组员的纯手工制作。
