A city has it's defining buildings that make up it's magnificent skyline. These buildings is what define a city, and cement their identity. Adjacent to these architectural feats are more mundane-looking buildings; concrete boxes littered throughout every city. These less interesting buildings can add visual noise and prevent the viewer for really appreciating true architecture. What if one could isolate these masterpieces in infrastructure and put it into it's own world. This is what Architectural Cross-Sections. Creating a mini world with one architectural feat in an isometric view.

I wanted to show the possible educational value that an architectural cross-section can hold. The display above shows a short description of the building "Telus World of Science" accompanied with the artistic rendering of the building itself. To the left and right you can see a preview of the other cross-sections.
Concept of Telus advertisement using an cross-section and birds
Cross-sections have the potential to be used in advertising. Done in the style of a Telus ad , using animals in a humorous manner; juxtaposing the scale of an iconic landmark with tiny birds.

Outside of the educational and advertisement applications; the cross sections are artistic renderings and can be used as such. In this example it's used as a poster.
