KING OF DIAMONDS

Collagraph on Snowdon 300 gsm using oil-based relief printing inks.
This is 'in answer' to a pioneer of the collagraph technique whose brother I have been talking to here in Flickr, Don Bunse.  His Queen of Hearts, made 1960, shown in Richard Bunse's photostream>>> <ahref="https://www.flickr.com/photos/35557290@N08/">www.flickr.com/photos/35557290@N08/</a> is beautiful.
This is 'King of Diamonds'.  It is in answer to one of Don's, Queen of Hearts, but also a reference to the oligarchy which seems to be ruling the world and controlling our news, and media.  King of hearts refers not only to the playing card itself and the way our world seems to be gambled by those in power, but also the unelected hierarchy which is.   The print has been inked up so one half is dark and the lighter - nothing is quite black and white in this world! :)
