Funnel page: exhibition web site that expanded the reach of the "Design Other 90" message beyond the exhibition and catalog. In addition to showing the exhibition objects from the original, still traveling "Design for the Other 90%" exhibition, and the more recent "Design With the Other 90%: Cities" exhibition objects, the museum wanted to create a social platform for citizens for diverse regions could share the knowledge and experience of project solutions that worked for their local communities.

"Solutions" main page shows map plotting project locations about the globe. Each category of "solution" can be filtered to customize the map and search results.

"Solutions" detail page that can includes curated content from the museum's exhibition and catalog. The content can be updated as the curators monitor the evolution of the project results, keeping the content relevant to audiences. As the exhibition travels and new projects are added to the checklist, projects can be added to the web site with ease.

Creating a culture of sharing and open dialogue was a desired outcome of the expanded web site. In addition to social network tools, discussion forums hosted by curators and project authors encouraged open dialogues around exhibition themes and topics.

The Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum envisioned the "Design Other 90 Network" as a resource for  crowd sourcing and sharing creative solutions to real world problems facing many different communities. With access to internet services expanding into marginalized communities, new users are encouraged to create personalized accounts, create topic-based groups around community challenges, and share solution stories that they experience locally so that they might help other communities from other regions.

Proposed mobile-optimized templates were developed, streamlining content formatting while maintaining the user experience between mobile and desktop screen formats.
