During the summer of 2016, I interned with Pan Himalayan Grassroots Development in Ranikhet, Uttarakhand, India. This organisation started a self help group (SHG) for the women in the area, and named it the Mahila Umang Samiti. This SHG has grown over the years and they now have a shop of their own called 'Umang' in Ranikhet and New Delhi.
This is an illustrated book that talks about their journey and the products they work with. The book is now being sold in their shops in Ranikhet and New Delhi.
