QR Codes - Custom | Various Clients

The following are various custom QR Codes created for local businesses and celebrity personalities. They are all custom made by hand using Adobe Photoshop. The process is simple - starting with a base QR Code generated with simple black and white boxes. I use that as the guidelines for building the custom work. Each one is tested with several QR Code scanning devices such as the iPhone, Android phone with a mid-range camera and Windows Phone. These will remain updated with each new QR Code that I create.

In the future, I plan to create other types of codes as well, including Microsoft Codes and Google's more custom oriented scan coding system.
1. The Old German Schnitzel Haus
This QR Code was created for a local German restaurant to used on their menus and business cards to view their online menu on their website and to provide feedback and to rate their meals. It incorporates elements of their logo as well as the German national flag.
2. Super Mario Bros 3
This QR Code was a personal project of mine. It was created to illustrate the wide range of options when creating custom QR Codes. Each element of the code is from the Super Mario Bros 3 sprite and is right on the line of passing error correction. While this typically wouldn't be used in production, it could be tweaked to work in print. The only item not hand designed is the background that was added. I do not know who created the background to credit them (pulled from Google).
3. Zack Ryder
The following QR Code was created for celebrity WWE wrestler Zack Ryder. Zack Ryder is heavily promoting online and social media methods and is incorporating QR Codes into his methods of connecting to his fans.
4. Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza
Papa Murphy's is a chain of Take 'N' Bake Pizza restaurants. This QR Code was created for a local franchise owner to promote their business in newspapers and printed coupon flyers.
5. Dockside Fish & Seafood Market
This custom QR Code was created for a local seafood market. The client requested to use elements of bamboo with an "on the dock" look and feel. The logo was also incorporated to give instant brand recognition when the QR Code was utilized without any other elements.
6. Emerson's Coffee
This QR Code was created for a locally owned coffee shop (think better Starbucks). They wanted to include elements of coffee with a light and fun look and feel. I decided to go with a simple and plain QR Code but utilizing coffee beans instead of the standard building blocks of the code. I've included the logo to give quick association to the brand with coffee.
7. The YMCA of Catawba Valley
The YMCA of Catawba Valley requested a QR Code that hands a very clean and simple look and feels. I created one that uses the standard building blocks with rounded edges, incorporated their logo and then finally gave the QR Code the style of the logo by a simple color change of the top right alignment block.
8. God of War
This code was created as a personal project of mine. It is a code that is very simple, utilizing the basic building blocks just with various coloring to show an image of the God of War. It also has the Chaos Blades in the bottom right-hand corner to help make the association to the game God of War. This code helps to show how different color variations of the building blocks can be used. The error correction level is very low on this code, so it is not good for production use. The coloring can be modified slightly to be production ready.
9. Java Journey
This code was designed and donated to a local mission outreach/church embedded into a coffee shop. It was made to have elements of coffee while also including the company's original logo (I also created their new logo) for nostalgia features.
10. Lazy 5 Ranch
This code was created for a local drive through ranch. It was used on their park maps to scan and load their mobile app which provided an interactive and informational map.
11. Houser Shoes
This code was requested by the client to be used in their catalogs to provide a quick and convenient way to visit their website to place orders. The client wanted a code that was simple, easy to scan, easy to identify as a QR Code and that incorporated their color palette and logo.
12. BlueRidge MotorSports
This QR Code was created for a full re-brand for the client. It was used in print marketing materials as well as local newspapers.
13. The DeLearys
This code was requested by the client to used on large banners at concerts. They wanted to use their color palette while incorporating elements of their Native American heritage.
