Sinus - Conceptual Project

 Sinus
Conceptual Project
The project that I am presenting consists in a study carried out for the UC Project II, composed of 20 images.
These same images were made during 2 months, in 6 sessions, at different hours of the day, in the Bells Foundry Company in Braga.
To perform this work, I have chosen a reference in the national panorama, the artist António Julio Duarte, and after some thought I decided to carry out a project with a new "gown", who flee from photojournalism and documentary photography that I am very familiar with, and with a new aesthetic, go beyond, change my gaze, gaze out of my principles, trying to produce a set of images where the idea was not photographing the more obvious but the images with certain details of the letter, more streamlined, more geometric situations, little humour, and angles just worked for me.
The end result, is a set of 20 images, all carried out within the premises of the foundry, and those images refer us to an old space, worked, manufacturing, craft, this space devoid of human presence, but loaded with artefacts, objects of a work already old and single that refer us to a humanized space.
I am presenting the images according to an established order, because in my view, despite the important thing in this work may not be the process of building a bell, and although these images operate independently of each other, understood that these images may be an outline, or a relic of a process that I would like to let visitor discover.
