Elements of form
Aim :
The aim is to develop a retail product or a fixture whose form is inspired from nature.
I finally zeroed it on the kangaroo.I choose the kangaroo for its athletic and lean form which inspired me into developing a retail product. I was not only inspired by the Kangaroo’s form but also its characteristics which I have tried to incorporate in my design.
Product behaviour :
The product has a very friendly and soft characteristicof a Kangaroo. In order to realize the same I had used wool for wrappingthe product.The form shows the running posture of kangaroo which gives the producta feeling of being in motion. Taking inspiration from the pouch of thekangaroo I have provided storage space for stationary items such aspens and pencils.

From the above sketches the figure of the kangaroo was abstracted further and the final form was recreated in thermocol.
