Amyo - Virtual Game Controller Courtney Allen S2017 ID

A virtual game controller in the form of an aesthetic, ergonomic, adjustable glove. By combining three flex sensors - one each for the thumb, pointer finger, and middle finger - and the Myo armband, an unlimited, accurate amount of interactive actions are available for new gameplay.
Twelve basic actions are available and used to calibrate the glove. By combining the actions with the Myo's ability to detect location and spatial movement, actions by the user become immersive in the game.
A short peek of what the Amyo is capable of and how it works exactly. The mechanics are proven through Processing and the icons accurately showing when activated.
The start screen of the interface. Emphasizing the minimalist and simplistic style of the Amyo.
A preview of the interface the user walks through. Amyo automatically identifies the arm which the user is using and then proceeds to step through the calibration. Once on the main screen, the user can then choose an application, change the settings, or buy more applications.
Some examples of how the user would interact with the hardware in different postures.
The Amyo has come a long way. It first began with seven flex sensors and a full glove. By studying the necessary movements of typical game controllers and the actuality of use of each finger, the design was simplified to three sensors to the three mainly used fingers: the thumb, the pointer finger, and the middle finger. Now it optimizes the human body and the experience of the user.
