El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) / España
Designing the interior of a room for tasting and sale of wines and other goods. La Cata Ciega determines a new concept of local restoration aimed at lovers of viticulture. Recreating the atmosphere of a warehouse, the interior offers both shop, restaurant and snack bar.
There are two elements of the proposed treatment. The first is the use of materials in their most natural appearance, without coatings and surface treatments, in reference to the image of cellars occurring in the phases of wine production. The second is to control the lighting (both natural and artificial) and materials, references, colors and textures.
As a result, it has achieved an establishment that attracts attention from the street to show a bare space and wide. In the back there is a more intimate and peaceful area, wine color, now serves as a gallery exhibition even when it has to live with other programs.
