CSPS Ensemble is a collective of jazz musicians based in Skopje, Macedonia, joined by frequent collaborator Dave Wilson. CSPS Ensemble is a collective of some of the most dynamic young musicians of Macedonia, joined by frequent collaborator composer/saxophonist Dave Wilson. The ensemble illuminates the compositions of Wilson and bassist/composer Kiril Tufekčievski through its complex but contagious grooves, angular interlocking melodies, and sophisticated lyricism. With the acrobatic soloing of horn players Kiril Kuzmanov, Ivan Ivanov, and Trajče Velkov along with the anchor of Tufekčievski, guitarist Bojan Petkov, and percussionist Ratko Dautovski, it comes as no surprise that these musicians are some of the most in-­demand players in Macedonia and Southeastern Europe in jazz and across popular and traditional music genres. "CSPS" stands as a tribute to the musicians' cities of origin (Chicago, Skopje, Probištip, and Štip) as the ensemble brings together a wealth of influences to forge new musical pathways.
