Championship Boerewors 2016

Together, Shoprite and Checkers host the annual Championship Boerewors competition.

This through-the-line campaign sees would-be champions from across South Africa battling it out to be crowned the next winner, and have his or her boerewors sold in Shoprite and Checkers stores nationwide.

This national competition helps the supermarket group find a traditional boerewors recipe that will appeal to the majority of consumers in the country and enables Shoprite and Checkers stores to produce a quality product that reflects the value on offer in their Meat Market departments.

A full-service campaign was carried out with ATL marketing and digital advertising pushing the various phases of the competition. From awareness to hype, entries to braai-offs, the competition was promoted across multiple channels.

As part of the campaign, I helped conceptualise and craft social media content, write newsletter content, as well as webisode metadata.
