The forested rain gardens recently designed and planted in a bank parking lot in Kailua, Hawaii are allowing scientists to measure the effectiveness of different plant and tree combinations to filter out pollutants from rain water. This display panel, installed on site, illustrates how water flows through the ecosystem and the garden and encourages the public to get involved and build their own.
