NPD - AIRBNB BOOK
Airbnb Book is an analog book that Airbnb will offer to their superhosts as a reward. The Airbnb Book is a guestbook that is digitally connected to the host’s profile, that allows hosts to keep authentic souvenirs from their worldwide guests. The book is made out of paper, such as a tangible notebook, with a special technology encrusted into pages that can be used with any pen in order to connect it on the application and profile. Guests can share their experiences in their hosts’ towns, recommend some places and leave personal notes by handwriting and drawing (maps, symbols, languages). The host share his Airbnb Book on his profile featuring personal information and guests recommendation and stories.
The application is linked with the guest’s profile. On the app, the book appears in two different sections; my souvenirs and books available. Under “my souvenirs” the guest can keep a record of all his past travel experiences - what he left in a superhost guestbook. Under “books available”, the guest has access to the book of his current or future booking. Divided in a few categories, the guest can learn more about his host, the location and read about the reviews from past guests including their memories. Thanks to the app they can check recommendations and take the book anywhere with them.
