WORKSHOPS FACILITATED FOR CHILDREN

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main aim of this project was to create an interactive art mural wall with the päiväkoti Kotilo children using recycled water based paint. Paint donors included K-Rauta and other private rennovation companies. Some design processes included stenciling the animals, creating the workshop content, and facilitating the children's level of influence in the artistic quality of wall mural.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Environmental Drawing
workshop  20.3.2017

Duration: 1 hour Materials: paper, pencils, nature sounds
This was an environmental and drawing themed activity for the 5-6 year olds to participate in. The aim was to increase the childrens awareness of the main three environments they usually spend the most time in, the päiväkoti, home, and outdoors/nature and inspire their creativity.  In the first drawing phase the children drew what they liked to do the most in these three environments. Here were some of the responses below! päiväkoti: ice cream, crafts, sleeping, games, chirstmas tree!..
home: eating, cookies, watching t.v. animals, living by nature...nature/outdoors: swimming, trees, animals, dogs, cats...Then I asked the children how can they make the päiväkoti, their home and nature a better place? What kinds of inventions could be invented?!
Here were some of the drawings below made by the children:
A cookbook for the päiväkoti with different foods in it.
A robot that can hold many books on it’s head.
A movie theatre for the päiväkoti
A golden table
A huge sun that would cover everything because there is not enough.
Different foods in unusual colors. Very very long spaghetti!
A robot that reads books and can help with other tasks.
A huge bat!
A huge cookie with many different fruits.
