There were 3 requirement for designing clock
1) Flat - Pack design in 30mm Package. (regulation for calling in the book shops)
2) No big injection parts. (saving tooling cost)
3) Easy to build & access to inside by consumers
The Motifs of Design
These are the design motifs for the clock.
1) Mechanical image ( for showing inside of the clock to understand how it does work. )
2) Cute Animal image ( the clock has to be lovely shape to customer happy to keep that in there room.)
3) Radar image ( for the iconic shape of the receive the radio signal. )
4) 60's French cup ( motif for the material color. this is the symbolic color of warm human friendly mass production.)

2) Second sketch is idea sketch after the mechanical requirement decided.
3)Third sketch is made by Solidworks to show the materiality with the shape.
