Initial sketches
In Introduction to Jewelry and Metal Arts class, this project was a challenge to combine a found object with a metal structure. I chose a paper crane riveted into anodized aluminum to create a sort of workable armor and nest. The wings are functional and built on hinges, allowing them to flap!
