Ergonomic Foot Rest Design
Bazza Design provided design support for the development of ideas and concepts for a foot rest that would work in concert with Ergo Impact's new sit-stand-lean chair – LeanRite™.

The foot rest concepts are based  on the existing multi-level “proof of concept” model that Ergo Impact originally created before getting Bazza Design involved.

With Bazza Design - Ergo Impact considered designs that look like they belong with Lean Right providing high function and keeping in mind part count, assembly method and cost associated with the concepts created.

Ergo Impact has designed and developed a sit-stand-lean style chair for the office environment.  The chair has been created based on office work environment trends to work in a sit or standing posture. Current trends point to a combination of standing up and movement is a healthy mix for people who work in a seated position all day.  Studies are showing that people that stand and move for periods of time while they work are reporting mood boosts, increased energy, and reduced fatigue.  Because of this, “Sit to Stand” desking has become popular which in turn has created a need for more flexible seating to match.  Ergo Impact’s new Seating addresses this need.  In design of their chair, Ergo Impact have also witnessed a need for a foot rest that can be used at the varying heights of sitting and standing.  A preliminary “proof of concept” design was created but it’s look and construction method did not match the chair it is designed to work with.  Bazza Design worked with Ergo Impact to meet the challenge of creating a compatible foot rest that also is cost effective in it’s material and manufacture choices.
