A minimalist multi-player soccer game. People can join using their phones to control a player (shape) on the screen.
Unlike most online multi-player games, people have to be physically present in the same space to play Pelada. And because there are no teams, the game can turn into chaos pretty fast — or evolve into some form of collaboration if people decide to talk to each other in the real world.
“Pelada” is how Brazillians call soccer played on the streets. It is also a slang for a poor quality professional soccer match.
The game was play-tested with children and teenagers during Playtech in 2014.
