My brother's affinity for trees developed from 3 1/2 years of living in
an apartment designed by the famous architect, John Lautner, who built
this modern 4-unit/4-story structure in Westwood Village, CA in 1949.
Built around an enormous tree that cuts through the center of the entire
structure, and home to many students, artists, musicians and creatives,
the Lautner building has been infamously nicknamed The Treehouse.
