We would like to cordially invite you to “Project Our Beloved King” exhibition which will be held at The Jam Factory from the 13th - 30th November 2016.
“Project Our Beloved King” started when Thai artists in New York and Thailand wanted to commemorate the benevolence and grace of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and pay tribute to our beloved King. With this intent, the artists united, and for 9 consecutive days at 9 am, each artist posted on Facebook an image of our beloved King that they have created under the hashtag #projectourbelovedking
As the project progresses, more and more artists using all kinds of mediums participated and show their love for our King. Mr. Pairoj Pichetmetakul, a renown Thai artist in New York who started this project, alongside Mr. Supattharachai Chuetamasorn, the Thai coordinator of this project realised that they need to archive all these amazing artworks somehow. Therefore, a Facebook page was made as an online gallery featuring all the works; www.facebook.com/projectourbelovedking.
With the help of The Jam Factory in Klongsarn, an exhibition was organised to bring all these artworks in one place and create a space where people can come and admire the works and take part in activities that hopes to bring the community together.
The opening on the 13th will start from 13.00 and with consists of many activities
- Viewings of the collection of artworks sent by various artists participating in the "Project Our Beloved King”
- A live painting session sponsored by TOA where we invite everyone to come together to paint images of Our King onto one large canvas
- Live music by Function + Aey The Voice and friends performing His Royal Compositions
- A silent auction of Pairoj Pichetmetakul’s 9 paintings of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej In which all the proceeds will go towards a charity under His Royal Patronage
