This Christmas, we’ve teamed up with an amazing organisation: Heart Felt Tips. Thanks to our campaign, we had a little help with the mark-making* Christmas card this year. Read all about it.


It all started with a pencil case…

Jeremy Houghton loved his pencil case when he was small. Given that he’s now an artist with some incredible residencies under his belt, it was clearly an important part of his childhood. He realised that there are disadvantaged kids out there who don’t have a pencil case, full of felt tips and possibilities. And he thought of a brilliant way to change that.
Introducing Heart Felt Tips

Heart Felt Tips finds sponsors to buy pencil cases, which get filled by schoolkids who have pens to spare, and distributed through food banks to kids who don’t. Genius. Jeremy has been running the organisation pretty much single-handedly since he set up in 2015, and when we heard about it, we couldn’t wait to help.

Not just for Christmas

In the New Year, we’re hoping to become a sponsor ourselves, partnering up with a local school to bring full pencil cases to less fortunate kids in our local area. To keep the buzz going, we’ve put the kids’ drawings front-and-centre on our Christmas card, AND we’ve got even more arty prizes up for grabs:

Nearly a hundred kids flocked to draw on our giant piece of paper in Chipping Norton Town Hall. Chocolate snowmen were consumed, Christmas drawings of every sort abounded, and our red and black felt-tip pens were tested to their limits.

Everyone who drew went into a prize draw, and last week we announced winners! Congratulations Ben (age 6) who won first prize, and our runners up Dana (age 6), Elliott (age 2), Lilah (age 7), and Jonah (age 10). We hope you have a great time experimenting with your new art materials.
