For SF Day of Civic Hacking, students, developers, designers, and activists came together to find creative technological solutions to a variety of social issues. For my groups' topic (Data Visualization Community-based Organizations and business engagement in School Districts), we utilized data from the Office of Economic & Workforce Development and Department of Children Youth & Their Families to create an interactive website displaying information for community members about demographics and success rates from schools in San Francisco.
Through an interactive map, community members could ideally access information about after school programs and resources in a user friendly online atmosphere.
