James Bond poster for NBC's series Timeless

In August 2016, I was contacted by the production team of the NBC series Timeless. They requested my services to help make a fictional James Bond movie poster that would appear in a later episode of the show (air date: October 24, 2016). The episode was titled "Party at Castle Varlar." The plot summary (pulled from Wikipedia) goes as follows:
"Jiya locates Flynn by tracking his usage of the power grid to power the stolen time machine, but Flynn's group escapes in the machine. In Germany, December 1944, the team believes Flynn intends to give the nuclear weapon to the Nazis, but it turns out he is actually planning to abduct Werner von Braun and deliver him to the Soviet Union. With help from Ian Fleming, the team secures von Braun's defection to the allies. Wyatt helps Lucy find "something to fight for" to overcome her fear during field work, while Ian and Rufus discuss the matter of trust among spies. Rufus confronts von Braun, who claims that moral considerations impede innovation. In the present, the team discovers that their adventure inspired a James Bond film that is new to the timeline ..."

The production team envisioned the poster to have the main elements from the episode's plot (European castle, V2 rockets blasting off, Mercedes cars chase) and the main characters (Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus) to appear as if actors from the 1960s were playing them. With certain restrictions regarding the use of Bond, 007 and Sean Connery's name and face, there were limitations on what can be seen on the poster (hence the back-to-us pose).

In the episode's near ending, the main characters arrive back to the present; they describe everything that happened to them in 1944 with Ian Fleming and the Nazis, and their government colleague then breaks the (new) truth:
"You’ve just described, beat by beat, the plot of Weapon of Choice."
"Whats Weapon of Choice?"
"The Bond movie."
"No such movie."
“Yes, there is. It’s the one in the castle with the rockets. Connery’s finest as far as I’m concerned."
(Rufus looks up the film on Wikipedia via an iPad) “...Bond infiltrates the castle, rescues evil scientist... with the help of CIA agents Wyatt, Lucy and Rufus! How much you want to bet that Bond sleeps with Lucy in that one."
"Ok, you’re telling me theres a new Bond film with Sean Connery and we’re in it."
"It’s not new! It came out in, what, ’64?"
"Well, it’s new to me!"
