Drains and Dragons- mobile augmented reality game

Sprout Labs together with Brian Jones, a Web Services Development Officer at Hobart City Council took part in GovHack 2015. We designed a mobile augmented reality game using local government datasets. My responsibility was to design the overall visual style, UI and illustrations. The game is a simple 'Dungeons and Dragons' hack-and-slash-fest designed to raise awareness of the council's public assets. You play the game by accessing the site on your mobile device. The GPS on your mobile device picks up your location and as you walk around your area you will notice 'points of interest' appearing on the map. Clicking on one of these points of interest reveals a 'Dragon' at that point. What you do then is up to you (Fight, Flee or Find out more).
