Based in Miami Springs, Florida, Antonio Junior is the founder of Florida Conservation, Inc., which he established in 2003. In some of his free time, Antonio Junior leaves Miami Springs and travels the world. He had the honor of visiting South Africa at the time Nelson Mandela became president.

In addition to relaxation, there are many reasons to travel, including broadening your education. Visiting South Africa in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela is an extraordinary way of learning more about racism and empowerment. One of the major South African attractions for those wishing to learn more about Mandela is Robben Island.

Ferry rides that begin at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront take travelers to the Robben Island Museum, where they experience immersive tours and take a 45-minute bus tour to learn the history of the island. Formerly a prison, leper colony, mental hospital, and military training base, Robben Island is most famous for incarcerating Nelson Mandela for 18 years. On the island, visitors can see firsthand the harsh conditions that Mandela survived on his journey to the presidency of South Africa.
