This is how the bags are delivered today.
New concept for "Linas Matkasse"
 Student Work, december 2011
Since around 2009 the market for home-delivered ready-composed grocery bags has boomed in Sweden.
Linas Makasse have a subscription service where they deliver a bag of groceries to your door every other week. The food comes in a plain white bag of kraft paper with a big logo in black on the side.
We got assigned to re-design a bag for one of the several companies that offer this subscription service, but I didn't feel like to just make a new graphic design for the paper bags. Because I have worked in a delivery service and I have delivered these bags myself  I knew that the biggest problem with them are with the groceries that require refrigeration. In 2009 when I delivered these bags we put a big insulated cooler, filled with ice packs and the groceries in smaller plastic bags, in the delivery truck. And for every stop we had to open the cooler, get out the plastic bag and put it in the paper bag. But a delivery run could last for up to four hours, and for the last customers the chain of refrigeration was broken.
This can easily be solved by introducing attractive individual cooling bags in the profile colors of "Linas Matkasse", the cooling bag has two compartments with a divider so that the frozen or refrigerated groceries truly stay cool, and everything is fresh even after a four hour delivery run. And the cooling bags can easily be marked with the name and address of the customer with a printed sticker, so no bag gets incorrectly delivered.
The customer pays a deposition in the first invoice, and gets a refund after the subscription is cancelled.
The customer keeps the empty cooling bag is their home until the next delivery, where the delivery man takes is with him back to the depot where it is easily cleaned and ready for the next run. The empty cooling bags are stackable as not to take up too much space in the delivery truck.
The bag has two compartments with a divider to keep all the groceries at their optimal temperature. On the bottom there are rubber lines to prevent sliding when stacked.
The empty bags are stackable as not to take up too much space in the delivery truck.(The wagon used here is modeled by A. Whatmough, InspirTech LLC.)
