New logo for the Arts et Métiers students Union
The project starts in fall 2015 with a brand change for 'Arts et Métiers ParisTech', french engineering school, that wanted to become 'Arts & Métiers'. The main goal of this change was to have the same brand for all the entities in touch with the school such as the 'Arts et Métiers Alumni' association. In this way the school and the Alumni association wanted to renew the logo. An agency was mandated and design a new logo shared by the two entities.

However, in order to harmonise the logo of the Arts et Métiers students Union : 'Union des Elèves Arts et Métiers' I was asked by the head of communication to design a new logo referring to the new Arts et Métiers logo. In this purpose I made a brainstorming about the values and references linked to the students union and designed lots of logos. Here you have the main versions.
In each version, the U and E for 'Union des Elèves' are hidden in the logo. In the two first logos, the global shape aims to represent a house, symbolizing the student house, where everybody is welcome. In the second versions, it symbolize a seat, seat of all decisions taken for the students by the students. The U is the seat when the E is hidden in the shape of the seat. The points represent the students around the house and the seven dashes, the seven Arts et Métiers campuses in France.
The final version of the logo is this one with smoother curves and a round base to give more volume to the logo and symbolizing the student base supporting the students union.
