Kein Augenmensch: Ein Buchprojekt
Was sieht sie, wenn kein Schwarz?
How does a blind person sense this world built up by sighted human beings?
How does this person find orientation, in what way does she or he communicate
and what happens, if our two worlds, the coloured one full of visual signs
and the one in which visual appearance of any kind is of no relevance, meet?
Based on an interview of several hours, a lovely, blind girl, named Carina,
of 19 years gives answers to these questions.
Divided into 5 chapters, the interview comes along with passages extracted
from a book written by a blind person, science-based informative texts
and some of my own thoughts to this topic. These all so different kinds of text
are all mixed up, just the way a blind person sees the world, concentrating on
all four left senses simultaneously. And in the same way the layout works.
It's a pool made out of many details, which are connected through colour,
lines and plus signs.
Her way to school - the most important haptic marks are illustrated and photographed.
