We were approached to design panels for Border's their newly renovated concept store in a major shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. They wanted to something "artsy" and fun to attract book browsers and make them say "hmm" so we were more than thrilled to splash in our ideas on their top display panels.

For the FICTION section, we were playing with optical illusions/ positive negative space that, on one end made you notice a shape or a face, but if you see it from a different perspective, made you notice the "hidden book" in the design too. 

For the NON-FICTION area, we wanted it to reflect subjects tackled in the books as well as showcase some of our cheeky graphic flare so we created a flow that "book-ified" the photo images, making books and pages "complete" the subjects in the photo. When placed together, the graphic flows are all connected so they form 1 united design.  

The whole concept was aligned with BORDER's theme of books and "turning pages" that tell you stories and enlightened your life,
