A&M Industrial, Spirax-Sarco and Milwaukee Valve culminate a five year team effort with the design, engineering, testing and manufacturing of a state of the art, Generation III High Pressure/High Temperature Steam Trap Manifold Station for use in the Con Edison underground steam distribution system manholes.
Ultimately, 1000 units will be replaced/installed and we are already working directly with Spirax-Sarco and the major NYC Utility client on the Generation IV version; which, will further increase overall system safety and prevent the re-occurrence of the steam pipe explosion that rocked mid-town Manhattan back in 2007.
